Selling on the marketplace
Set up a listing buyers can discover, evaluate, and purchase.
1. Publisher profile
Open Settings before publishing publicly. Your company name, website, support website, description, and logo drive how your publisher appears across listing pages. Keep support links current because customers use them after purchase.
2. Listing presentation
A public offering should make the package easy to evaluate. Fill in the product name, short card description, long description, card image, category, open-source toggle, and optional video URL. Marketplace Feed listings also show pricing plans and trial details when configured.
Basic Listings use an external product URL and display pricing. Marketplace Feeds use pkgstore checkout and require at least one active pricing plan before purchase can work.
3. Categories and catalog discovery
Categories power homepage filtering and category pages such as /category/testing. Pick the category buyers would naturally browse when they are looking for your library. Category pages only show approved public offerings.
4. Submit for review
Submit the offering for review when the profile, listing content, feed, and pricing are ready. Marketplace Feeds are not purchasable until admin validation is approved. If the submission is rejected, review notes tell you what needs to change. Resubmit after edits. Validation can also be revoked later, which removes the public listing or purchase path until it is approved again.
Connect Stripe and resolve account requirements before expecting payouts. The Stripe Connect status in Settings shows missing information or required actions.
